Walk along the Cathar footpath (click here to see map):

Depart from Leychert, above the church: the departure point is on your right
In the village, above the church, the departure point is on your right. The walk takes you along the ridge to the Buc source (781m alt.)
Follow the sign for the Roquefixade castle (2km500)
At the crossroads, take the right turn and walk downhill to the village for 800m
Walk along the farming track for 1km800, past the war memorial of Roquefixade and arrive at Coulzonne
Follow the small track to the D9A and take the footpath opposite which leads down to the hamlet of Conte (2km500)
Cross the D117, walk along it for several metres then take the path on the right which leads up to the left to Pipié, the Laujol ruins, then the Hamlet of Fromagère (3km)
Take the footpath leading down to the hamlet of Sault (1km) then walk down to la Freychède via the paved road (1.5 km)
Follow this road into the village, cross the Touyre and pick up the small paved road between the stream and the campsite.
Turn right for the Tour du Massif de Tabe then carry straight on for approx. 1.5 km
At the junction, turn left, cross the D909 (road towards the Monts d'Olmes) and then pick up the D9, crossing over it to take a footpath on your left up to the pass at Montségur.
Walk down to the village via the track, then cross the village and a few metres from the gîte, walk down to Pélail (1.5km), walk back up to Taulat (1060m alt) then back down to the village of Pélail (4km)
